Are Stay-At-Home Moms Lousy Housekeepers?

Here’s a strange. My brother-in-law, who owns a security alarm company, goes into a lot of houses. Yesterday he mentioned something I would have never imagined – that the sloppiest, worst kept homes they see are not those where both husband and wife have full time jobs outside the house and are rarely home. Instead, it’s the ones where a stay-at-home mom is there all day. Go figure.

Don’t forget — the stay-at-home moms have stay-at-home kids there all day. THEY are the true mess makers!

AND, those stay-at-home moms are really not at home all that much because they are SAHM because they want to do things with their kids, not because they want to keep their house cleaner. Whether they are creating messy creative projects or going to library story hours or running because they are soccer/karate/basketball moms, it doesn’t matter. They are home for the kids, not to keep a clean house. SAHM also often volunteer their time that working moms do not so they have even less time for housework.

My Mom has a wall hanging that says, “Housework makes you ugly.” However, her house is immaculate.
