I just recently had a job that it might have made it easier if we had been allowed to drink. Not because the job was that hard but because the people in the office were that hard to work with. I don’t drink as a rule but if I have a really hard day I might have a drink. I never missed work because of drinking. However, there were many days that I didn’t want to go to work because of the people that I worked with.
Not sure they still do this but years ago the trash men would take beer breaks in our German neighborhood. We lived in Hanau Germany for a little over a year while my spouse was in the Army. Even the German soldier we toured Northern Germany with drank beer while on duty. He would drink one first thing in the morning with his uniform on. We certainly had fun with him!!
Interesting world we live in.
Thank you for the laugh and smile today! My husband and I recently spent a week in Lynchburg and visited the distillery twice. Those are employees that LOVE their job (probably even w/out the monthly Friday). When they speak, they speak with pride and contentment. I wish all had that! Thanks again for the chuckle! Have a great day.
Worse case of “entitlement-itis” I’ve ever heard of.
That was good for a laugh.

Brings to mind the very recent news story of the zoo attendant who was injured by an animal at work, after drinking. Employer made to pay.
Years ago, Zig’s advice: do you REALLY want your brain surgeon having a drink or two to “calm his nerves” before he opens you up?!?
